By signing this document, you are agreeing to take part in Activities organised by Action Glen at Crieff Hydro Ltd.
Those participants under 18, or any other participant without their own valid waiver, must ensure a legal guardian has fully completed a waiver on their behalf. Parties signing waivers on behalf of younger customers state that they accept responsibility for the safety of themselves and for the supervision of children in their care.
Please read the below bullet points then the relevant section for the activity you are taking part In.
- I will undertake any activity in accordance with the specific written safety rules and advice that I have received with this disclaimer together with the oral instructions and advice to be given to me before and during the undertaking of the activity
- I agree to wear all the safety equipment provided and will notify the instructor of any defects or equipment not fitting correctly
- I accept that there is a risk of injury when undertaking such activities
- I acknowledge that I am responsible for my own safety and the safety of others whilst participating
- I acknowledge that I may be asked to leave the activity if the instructor is of the opinion that I am acting or behaving in an unsafe manner that may risk injury to myself or others
- Crieff Hydro Ltd reserves the right to refuse admittance or to remove a participant from the premises should it be deemed necessary to do so. This includes any customer whose behaviour is considered antisocial and/or unsafe to themselves or others, or who is thought to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs. The decision of the Duty Manager on all matters of admittance will be final.
- In the unlikely event of an accident or loss or damage to my personal effects. I acknowledge that the Crieff Hydro Ltd will not be liable for any direct or indirect loss, damage or injury arising from or in connection with the activity (except for death or personal injury caused by the Company’s negligence)
- I certify that to the best of my knowledge I do not have a medical condition, which might affect me taking part in the activity
- To the best of my knowledge I am not pregnant
- I certify that I am not under the influence of alcohol or narcotics.
- I understand that if I leave the activity early either by choice or by request from Action Glen staff, I may still be charged and by signing this document I am opting in to the activity.
- Crieff Hydro Ltd does not accept responsibility for the loss or damage to any personal customer property whilst onsite. The Co. does not accept responsibility for loss or damage to customer vehicles. Vehicles and their contents are left at their owner’s risk.
- All users must attend a safety briefing session prior to every activity taking place and adhere to the instructions of the staff.
4X4 Driving/Show Round/Pinzgauer.
- I am of 17 years or older to drive ( under 18s to be signed in by Parent or Guardian to acknowledge permission to allow young person to take part)
- I am 3 years or older with an appropriate booster seat to be in the vehicle (under 18s to be signed in by Parent or Guardian to acknowledge permission to allow young person to take part)
- I hold a clean Driving License. Not a provisional license.
- I can operate a manual gearbox.
- I am not under the influence of alcohol or narcotics.
Air Rifles
- I am of 8 years or older ( under 18s to be signed in by Parent or Guardian to acknowledge permission to allow young person to take part)
- I have been given a safety brief & understood the key safety points and will abide by them.
Archery
- I am of 6 years or older ( under 18s to be signed in by Parent or Guardian to acknowledge permission to allow young person to take part)
- I have been given a safety brief & understood the key safety points and will abide by them.
Archery Tag
- I am of 10 years or older ( under 18s to be signed in by Parent or Guardian to acknowledge permission to allow young person to take part)
- I have been given a safety brief & understood the key safety points and will abide by them.
Axe Throwing
- I am of 12 years or older ( under 18s to be signed in by Parent or Guardian to acknowledge permission to allow young person to take part)
- I have been given a safety brief & understood the key safety points and will abide by them.
Aloft!
- I am 7 years or older. Under 13’s must be accompanied by a person 13yrs or older. Under 18s to be signed in by a Parent or guardian to acknowledge permission to allow young persons to take part.
- I am not over the maximum weight limit or 117.5Kgs / 18.5St.
- I can reach the wrist height of 1.45 metres.
Kids Activities
- Quad pods Under 3’s with an adult +3’s on their own.
- Land Rovers Aged 3 – 15 (Adult supervised at all times)
- Crazi Bugs Aged 6 – 16 (Adult supervised at all times)
- Climbing Wall – I am above the 1.1m height restriction.
EZ Raider
- I am 14+ yrs of age.
- I am below 150kg
Woodland Laser Tag
- I am of 6 years or older. ( under 18s to be signed in by Parent or Guardian to acknowledge permission to allow young person to take part).
Quad Biking
- Age 16+ and up to 23.6 stone (150kg).
Segways (Peebles Hydro only)
- I am over 10 years old.
- I weigh more than 45kg and less than 117kg (7 – 18.4 stones).
Paddle Board and Kayak Hire
- I will ensure to wear the life jacket at all times.
- I accept responsibility for damage to the boards or kayaks
- I will listen to the safety brief given on use of the loch and follow the code of conduct as outlined.
Alpaca Trekking
- Sturdy Footwear must be worn – either walking boots or wellies (no open toed shoes).
- Listen carefully and follow the directions of your instructor at all times.
- Under 12’s must be accompanied by an adult.
- Do not feed the alpacas anything that is not provided by the instructor.
- You will receive a safety brief and the risks associated with alpaca trekking will be made clear to you.
Ice Rink
- I am of 3 years of age or older ( under 18s to be signed in by a Parent or Guardian to acknowledge permission to allow young person to take part).
- Under 12’s must be accompanied by an adult on the rink.
- Anyone who is the age of 12 or older is classed as an adult.
- Skating aids are available on a first come first serve basis at a £5.00 charge.
Escape Room
- Age Requirement: Participants must be 12 years or older. Younger participants must be accompanied by an adult.
- Safety Rules: Follow safety instructions, no running, climbing, or rough handling of props.
- Lighting Effects: Our escape room may involve low lighting, strobe lights, and special effects. Please let staff know if you have any concerns regarding lighting.
- Liability Release: By participating, you acknowledge the inherent risks and waive liability for any injuries.
- Emergency Procedures: Familiarise yourself with emergency exits and follow staff instructions in case of an emergency.
Corporate & Field Events
- I will wear appropriate footwear for the conditions on the day.
- I will listen to my instructors about demonstrations of how to perform the challenges.
- I understand that each challenge is different and I do not have to participate if I do not want to.
