Highland Safaris Activity Disclaimer

By signing this document, you are agreeing to take part in Activities organised by Highland Safaris, part of the Crieff Family of Hotels Ltd.

Those participants under 18, or any other participant without their own valid waiver, must ensure a legal guardian has fully completed a waiver on their behalf. Parties signing waivers on behalf of younger customers state that they accept responsibility for the safety of themselves and for the supervision of children in their care.

Please read the below and then the relevant section overleaf for the activity you are taking part In.

  • I will undertake any activity in accordance with the specific written safety rules and advice that I have received with this disclaimer together with the oral instructions and advice to be given to me before and during the undertaking of the activity.
  • I agree to wear all the safety equipment provided and will notify the instructor of any defects or equipment not fitting correctly.
  • I accept that there is a risk of injury when undertaking such activities.
  • I acknowledge that I am responsible for my own safety and the safety of others whilst participating.
  • I acknowledge that I may be asked to leave the activity if the instructor is of the opinion that I am acting or behaving in an unsafe manner that may risk injury to myself or others.
  • Highland Safaris reserves the right to refuse admittance or to remove a participant from the premises should it be deemed necessary to do so. This includes any customer whose behaviour is considered antisocial and/or unsafe to themselves or others, or who is thought to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs. The decision of the Duty Manager on all matters of admittance will be final.
  • In the unlikely event of an accident or loss or damage to my personal effects. I acknowledge that the Highland Safaris will not be liable for any direct or indirect loss, damage or injury arising from or in connection with the activity (except for death or personal injury caused by the Company’s negligence).
  • I certify that to the best of my knowledge I do not have a medical condition, which might affect me taking part in the activity.
  • To the best of my knowledge, I am not pregnant.
  • I certify that I am not under the influence of alcohol or narcotics.
  • I understand that if I leave the activity early either by choice or by request from Highland Safaris staff, I may still be charged and by signing this document I am opting in to the activity.
  • Highland Safaris does not accept responsibility for the loss or damage to any personal customer property whilst onsite. The Co. does not accept responsibility for loss or damage to customer vehicles. Vehicles and their contents are left at their owner’s risk.
  • All users must attend a safety briefing session prior to every activity taking place and adhere to the instructions of the staff.
  • To the best of my knowledge, I am not pregnant.
  • (we do welcome pregnant ladies on safari and to visit our red deer experience so perhaps something about it being their own risk would be more appropriate)

4X4 Driving

  • I am of 17 years or older to drive (under 18s to be signed in by Parent or Guardian to acknowledge permission to allow young person to take part)
  • I am 5 years or older with an appropriate booster seat to be in the vehicle (under 18s to be signed in by Parent or Guardian to acknowledge permission to allow young person to take part)
  • I hold a clean Driving License. Not a provisional license.
  • I have no more than 3 penalty points or country equivalent.
  • I can operate a manual gearbox.
  • I am not under the influence of alcohol or narcotics.

Archery

  • I am of 6 years or older (under 18s to be signed in by Parent or Guardian to acknowledge permission to allow young person to take part)
  • I have been given a safety brief & understood the key safety points and will abide by them.
  • I will give the safety briefing my undivided attention and will notify my instructor if there is something I do not understand, and I will strictly abide by the rules.

Axe Throwing

  • I am of 12 years or older (under 18s to be signed in by Parent or Guardian to acknowledge permission to allow young person to take part)
  • I have been given a safety brief & understood the key safety points and will abide by them.
  • I will give the safety briefing my undivided attention and will notify my instructor if there is something I do not understand, and I will strictly abide by the rules.

Loch Tay Safari’s

  • I am over 18 years old. If under accompanied by an Adult.
  • I have been given a safety brief & understood the key safety points and will abide by them.
  • I will give the safety briefing my undivided attention and will notify my instructor if there is something I do not understand, and I will strictly abide by the rules.
